There is nothing sadder than
Watching a prodigy genius burn
Out and waste away well maybe
There is but there's no poetic potential
In saying one of the many sad things in
The world... there's no flame in that
On this cramped keypad sec. easily becomes
Sex and an "e" can be mashed together and
Before you know it sec(ond) flame becomes a
Regular faggot fest or it does in this cross
Referencing mind of mine (is the hyphen
Purposely left out am I mad?) at this hour
Depending on who you talk to you could
Be sent to the anger management shrink
Or to the men in white coats in both cases
You end up a pill-popping Magic-8 Ball all
Because of a simple three-lettered word
M-A-D because it's a mad world out there
When you look at the random white
And black lines do you see Jesus because
I don't I see him in the simple miracles like
Having an internet connection where there
Was none in range or feeling like a great
Weight had lifted after a rant to a good friend
Sometimes hunger is the best medicine
Especially if you are an artist they say
The Greats were hungry either from not
Being able to buy food or becoming too
Engrossed in their work because hunger is
Human and I wish I could use it to kindle the flame

Lovely idea with a long pedigree. The Greeks believed it three thousand years ago, on the basis of nothing...But now they understand that nature is never in balance. Never has been, never will be.
RIP Michael Crichton (1942 - 2008)
THAT IS ALL I EAT. AT ALL.
